October studio walkabout

In my neighborhood there are wonderful artists and every year they give a studio tour. They open their homes for viewing all the art they have been working on. We chat. We have some snacks. And these two pieces are what I bought this year.
The birch tree acrylic painting, in a small, fit anywhere format is by Luke Nicol. I just feel the Finnishness in it. I think my mom is getting it for Christmas.
The pottery bowl is made by Strawberry Hill Pottery, or rather the Powlowski's new work.
