I have spent the evening with a wonderful man who has lived a rich and full life and is now on his way to leaving his body. They say he is dying. It seems to me that his body has thoroughly lived and been used up and now it's time to shed it.
Don and I sang with him, laughed with him, even though response was weak but it was there in the most beautiful presence. It was a most real evening.
